HOTELS OF DISTINCTION

The Gibbon Bridge Hotel

Located on the edge of the Forest of Bowland in an officially designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The Gibbon Bridge is one of Lancashire's finest award winning hotels and Britain in Bloom winner for the third year running. For over thirty years it was the family farm, until its conversion into a sumptuous country house hotel by owner Janet Simpson and her late mother Margaret.

Today there are 30 uniquely designed bedrooms, a bar, restaurant, conservatory, terraces, conference facilities, gym and beauty salon in a hotel which is furnished with old world charm and character and prides itself on its warm Lancashire welcome. Bedrooms include split level suites with four poster, half tester and even whirlpool baths, with most rooms enjoying superb views of the Bowland hills. Award-winning gardens provide vegetables, fruits and herbs for the hotel's kitchen, where the excellence of the cuisine is matched by a superb wine list. Coupling the latest audio-visual and telecommunications equipment with versatile meeting rooms and highly trained support staff, The Gibbon Bridge also provides the complete venue for corporate events.

Facilities include tennis courts, a fully-equipped gym, a Turkish steam room, and a trained therapist specialising in a wide range of beauty treatments. The historic sites of Lancaster, Clitheroe, Preston, and Blackburn are all close at hand, as is the beauty of the Lake District.
