Berlin has always been worth a trip. Wherever you go in the city, you will encounter links between its great history and modern-day life. The exhibition Story of Berlin shows this connection particularly clearly. Here visitors can travel through time, reviewing the history of Berlin from its foundation in 1237 right into the future.
The historic facts are presented in an up-to-date style on 3 floors covering a total area of 7000 square metres. But the athletically inclined have plenty to look forward to in the German capital too. Freeclimbers can scale the steepest walls, protected against the elements and from falling in the climbing park Magic Mountain.
Experienced instructors introduce novices to the great art of climbing. And if you need some fortification after all that exercise, you should visit one of the capital's many restaurants. Berlin wouldn't be what it is if it didn't offer some quite unusual culinary delicacies too. The experimentally-minded might even like to try one of the specialities of the restaurant Soda: deep-fried locusts and caramelised mealworms. And to end the day, you might stop off at one of the many night-clubs, which cater for every conceivable taste.
