Our destination takes us to the former German capital, Bonn. Since Berlin has again become the political heart of Germany, Bonn has been looking for new ways to redefine itself. One of those ways is by promoting itself as a cultural center. The focal point of these plans is naturally the city's most famous son, Ludwig van Beethoven.
The Beethoven House provides information regarding the composer's life and works. His creative genius will be on display in a series of concerts during the International Beethoven Festival from September 23rd to October 10th. A few kilometers down the Rhine lies Castle Brohl, which is currently the site of an exhibition entitled, "The Crack in Heaven, Clemens August and His Epoche. Fans of the rococo and baroque periods, won't want to miss this exhibit.
