The last ten years have seen musical theaters popping up all over Germany. During this period, they've become an important part of this country's tourist trade, with some people even arranging their travel itineraries to coincide with scheduled performances. We visit a number of Germany's hottest musicals, such as Falco Meets Amadeus, which recently opened to good reviews in Berlin's, Theater des Westens.
The story of two of the world's most interesting musical stars is a treat for young and old alike. Our next stop is Hamburg, and a musical that has been running in the harbor-city's Neuen Flora theater for more than a decade, Andrew Lloyd Weber's The Phantom of the Opera. Finally, we travel to Bremen, where one of last year's premier hits, Jekyll & Hyde, is enjoying a great deal of success.
