What do you do when other people go off on holiday, or at least out into the country, and you are stuck in the city? What's needed is some new kind of leisure activity - something cool, of course? Perhaps that is how "cross-golfing" was invented - a form of golf played far from the greens, straight through the residential areas and industrial wasteland of large cities.
In the meantime, television commercials have also discovered this latest craze, and laid-back guys can be seen swinging their clubs on traffic islands and the roofs of high-rises.
