Spring is always in the air at Los Angeles’ famous Flower District. It’s where florists and those in the floral-trade business go to buy the freshest, most extravagant flora on the planet. Over fifty vendors display every kind of flower imaginable - from Amazonian roses to fragrant Casa Blanca lilies to orchids no larger than a dime.
For ordinary folks who want to buy bouquets at a bargain or simply stroll through heaven on earth for a couple of hours, the flower market is opened mornings only. But the Flower District is no secret. Smart shoppers arrive early for the best pick of the petals.
