A Refreshed Manor House Revives Visitors in
Sintra's Great Outdoors
The Quinta das Sequoias, situated on “Serra de
Sintra” -- the range of hills above the town of Sintra -- affords
international travelers magnificent views across the hills and coastal
plain to the vast Atlantic ocean. Nature lovers enjoy a refreshing
day backpacking, hiking, and picnicking in Portugal's nearby Sintra-Cascais
Natural Park.
Modern day comforts blend easily with the Portuguese
old world charm of the Sequoias. Guests have the use of a lounge
and an old kitchen converted to a breakfast room. Easy access to
Lisbon, Portugal's cosmopolitan capital city, makes availability
of this manor’s five guest rooms very limited. Plan trips well in
advance to stay close to Portugal's favorite summer city, Sintra.
Rates for each double room includes breakfast
for two and all taxes. From May to October, rooms are 26,000 Portuguese
escudos per night. November to April, rates are 21,000 per room
per night.
