'House of the Sun' Sits Pretty By Portugal's Royal Resorts and Romantic Beaches

Charming Casa Por do Sol, less than ten minutes from the beaches of the Atlantic coast, is close to Portugal's pretty twin cities, Sintra and Cascais, and within easy reach of Lisbon. The estate is one of the prettiest pieces of real estate on Lisbon's coast.

Sintra is an ancient town full of palaces and historical monuments. Long used by the Kings and rulers of Portugal as a summer residence, they favored Sintra's pleasant summer climate to the heat of Lisbon.

A new marina is opened near the center of Cascais, about 30 minutes away. Also nearby is Cabo de Rocha – the most westerly and probably most important historic point of mainland Europe.

Guests of Casa Por do Sol enjoy the estate's terraces, a romantic garden, and a barbecue with outstanding views across the ocean. Between May and September, guests make reservations for a minimum of one week (Saturday to Saturday). All other times, minimum occupancy is two nights.
